Technician
Location: Poole:Branksome
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Setting up your Department:
Ensure that you have all information relevant to your shift, including any necessary work programmes, stops sheets etc. To ensure that everything is clean, tidy and stored correctly.
Lane and Approach Preparation:
To prepare the lanes and approaches in accordance with your centre’s specified requirements.
Efficient Running of the Department:
To ensure that all pinspotter machinery, lanes, pins, computer equipment and associated hardware is serviced and maintained to the highest possible standard whilst ensuring enjoyable and trouble free bowling to open and league bowlers. To complete all work programmes are in the course of your shift. To note any spares used to ensure efficient spares management at all times. To treat tools and equipment with the utmost respect at all times and to know the whereabouts of said equipment throughout your shift. To take responsibility for the department and the facilities being within BTBA guidelines at all times.
Communication:
To ensure you communicate effectively and efficiently with all departments and Management at all times.
Maintenance:
To professionally carry out any maintenance that may be required, including daily light bulb checks, painting, cleaning of extraction vents etc. To consult the Manager for any other tasks.
Health and Safety Awareness:
To understand and comply with Health and Safety regulations at all times and refer to relevant Pinspotter Manuals whenever necessary.
Team Work:
To support the Senior Technician and Management team at all times. To assist other departments if necessary.
Cleaning:
To undertake cleaning schedules at every opportunity and ensure your department and it’s offices, workshops etc. are clean and tidy at all times. To ensure machines are well lubricated and machine trays are hoovered in accordance with your centre’s work programmes.
Customer Satisfaction:
To endeavour to encourage customer satisfaction by communicating with the Management and both league and open bowlers where appropriate, including explaining ball damage, lane condition enquiries etc. To ensuring, where possible, that customers are not kept waiting more than five minutes for their lane to be fixed without being approached by staff to explain why.
Administration:
To ensure all relevant paperwork is completed, within the required time scale.
Any other duties:
A Technician may be asked to perform any other duties that are commensurate with the grade.
